Congratulations on progressing to level 3 of the Healthy Neck and Shoulder program. You are half-way down the Healthy Posture Road. Keep it up!
We have advanced each exercise in the program to challenge your ability to maintain neutral spine alignment against light-moderate lifting and carrying loads. This level of conditioning will prepare you to perform your home tasks from healthy posture.
Instructions: Perform this workout every other day. You can perform the level 3 Healthy Back, Hip and Knee workout on your off days. Take Sundays off!
The key to long-term injury management and prevention is to neurologically condition yourself to perform your daily activities from healthy posture. At this level of conditioning, you should be sitting a majority of your day without back support hip hinged forward onto your sit bones. You likely had to raise your monitor 3-6" now that you are sitting that much taller. For those with a standing desk, this workout will condition you to stand more symmetrically with a staggard stance.
When you can perform 8 repetitions of each exercise at this level with a 1, 2, 3 tempo of control without losing neutral spine alignment, it is time to progress to level 4. This completes your Neutral Spine Conditioning phase. You will now have to purchase a Maintenance Membership to gain access to the level 4 video library.
